Indonesian Student Startup Acceleration (ASMI) is a startup competition for active students from undergraduate universities (academic programs) in Indonesia who have had a startup running for at least 1 (one) year. This program is expected to accelerate the best Indonesian student startups to develop into global startups. The forms of activities carried out include workshop activities, mentoring and Student Startup Accelerator Camp (SSAC). This program is carried out in collaboration with digital technology companies and selected business incubator centers in the country.

This year, the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) sent a team, YOI aquaculture, to join this competition. YOI Aquaculture is an investment-based business in the field of fisheries. After going through two stages of selection, the ITK team finally qualified to be one of twenty-five selected startups in Indonesia that received grants from the ministry of education. This achievement led ITK to host the assessment of ASMI progress in Kalimantan region on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. The event was attended by a team of reviewers, namely, Dr. Wahyuhari Haji, S.Kom., M.M., Head of Entrepreneurship Center of Mercubuana University, and Ir. Edi Suryanto, M.Sc, Ph.D., IPU, Secretary of The Professional Program of Animal Husbandry Engineer Program of Gajah Mada University and Halal Certification Auditor of LP POM MUI DIY, team from belmawa, ASMI participants, and a team of ITK entrepreneurship supervisors. The two teams presenting their startups at this activity were YOI Akuakultur, from ITK, and Sobat Masjid 2.0, from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM).
